Dr. Xiaoyong Tong received her bachelor's degree and master's degree in Medicine from Harbin Medical University and her doctor's degree in Pharmacology from Peking Union Medical College. Dr. Tong did postdoctoral training in the cardiovascular field at Georgetown University, New York University, and Boston University. From 2007 to 2014, Dr. Tong was employed as an Assistant Professor at Boston University. In 2014, Dr. Tong joined Chongqing University. Funded by NIH, the American Diabetes Association and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Dr. Tong's research team focuses on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, aortic aneurysm, pulmonary vascular remodeling, and hypertension.
