【2021-10-19】On October 19, 2021, Professor Dr. Lu Zhou from School of Pharmacy, Fudan University was invited to give a lecture on "Drug research for new metabolic targets". The format of this lecture is an online meeting. The presentation was hosted by Professor Yizhou Li. Over 100 teachers and students from the School of Pharmaceutical Science attended the lecture.

Professor Lu Zhou is mainly engaged in the research of medicinal chemical biology, and his research interests are the design and synthesis of small molecule drugs with new targets. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in academic journals home and abroad.

In this presentation, Professor Lu Zhou first introduced the target discovery process of the anti-tumor gluconeogenic target PGAM1 and the structure-based drug design to discover inhibitors of PGAM1, followed by drug studies of the new target of lipid metabolism SMS2 and the small molecule-mediated regulation of protein acetylation.
