【2021-09-29】On 29 September 2021, professor Yongzheng Chen from Zunyi Medical University was invited to give a lecture entitled "Discovery of novel biological enzymes and study of their reactions in the selective functionalization of C-H bonds". The presentation was hosted by Professor Hailong Yan. About 100 teachers and students from the School of Pharmaceutical Science attended the lecture.

Professor Yongzheng Chen's main research interests include the screening, discovery, and application of biological enzymes in the synthesis of chiral drugs, and the exploration of environmentally friendly synthesis technologies for chemical drugs. He has presided over 15 national and provincial research projects, realizing the industrialization of the biocatalytic and efficient synthesis of D-pantothenic acid lactone, a key intermediate of vitamin B5.
